2009 Mini-Fellowship Program
Application Deadline:
October 1, 2008
Program Dates:
May – June 2009
Participant’s Costs: Travel, lodging and meals

Physicians from around the world can participate in the Mini-Fellowship Program for International Scholars that is sponsored by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).

The four-week program provides international physicians from underdeveloped countries with practical training in clinical sleep medicine. The objective is to help them improve the quality of sleep-related health care in their home country.

Participants in the program spend three weeks at an AASM-accredited sleep disorders center in the U.S. Then they spend one week at the SLEEP Annual Meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies.

The training program is tailored to meet the individual needs of each participant. Educational materials are provided, including a copy of the International Classification of Sleep Disorders, 2nd Edition, and a complete set of the AASM’s Clinical Practice Parameters and Review Papers.
